I’m a conflicted grocery shopper
… no matter how often I think I could run their store better than they run it.

A Chinese dinner in San Mateo, CA with great friends – 13 courses
Dinner with friends in San Francisco (actually San Mateo) at a real Chinese restaurant. Of the 150+ people in the restaurant on this Saturday night, I was one of 3 non-Asians. Since the place was packed, I take it this restaurant does pretty well with its core constituency. I had no complaints.

Home sweet home – Arlington, TX

There’s a nifty web [...]
Dang! That’s some big office-chair zucchini!
One of our colleagues was passing out some home-grown zucchini today. I’m not a zucchini eater, but I do like the way they look sitting on an office chair.
How bout them Rangers?
Texas took 2 of 3 from the Angels this week, and now they close up the first half of the season with 4 games at Seattle, a team the Rangers are already 5-0 against this season. Haven’t seen this much excitement in Arlington lately, except for all the buzz around that “other stadium” next [...]
