A Chinese dinner in San Mateo, CA with great friends – 13 courses

Dinner with friends in San Francisco (actually San Mateo) at a real Chinese restaurant.  Of the 150+ people in the restaurant on this Saturday night, I was one of 3 non-Asians.  Since the place was packed, I take it this restaurant does pretty well with its core constituency.  I had no complaints.

Read an interesting column this morning in the Wall Street Journal, a personal look at ballparks from a writer, Mark Yost, who takes his son on summer journeys across the country.  Those journeys include ballparks, including Cincinnati’s.  But Mr. Yost is not fond of our Great American Ball Park.

Dang! That’s some big office-chair zucchini!

 One of our colleagues was passing out some home-grown zucchini today. I’m not a zucchini eater, but I do like the way they look sitting on an office chair.
