2 of my New Years Goals
I’ve got a handful of New Years goals. Some deal with home and family improvements, and I’ll keep those at home. But there are two I’ll share here:
Run a marathon. In early 2009, I started running. In my first 44 years, I never stuck with any specific exercise routine for a long period of time. Now [...]
Quoted
An enterprising Mizzou student, Dea Surjadi, called me this week to ask a few of my thoughts re social media and the news biz. She’s including my thoughts in her capstone paper in order to graduate this month. Good luck Dea – it’s a whole new world out there for all the [...]

My new friends and news warriors, courtesy of the Carole Kneeland Project
Spent the past 3 days in Dallas with the 2009 class of the Carole Kneeland Project’s Advanced Media Fellows. I enjoyed sharing best practices for online news and social-network engagement with these very smart fellows and instructors, people and squirrels both.
The new ChipMahaney.com
Check it out – here’s the link: ChipMahaney.com. Just a simple site to provide contact information and redirect visitors to social networks where I’m more active.
Yup, it is.
All of a sudden, it feels like football season. Even in the summer heat of Arlington, Texas.
