A Chinese dinner in San Mateo, CA with great friends – 13 courses

Dinner with friends in San Francisco (actually San Mateo) at a real Chinese restaurant.  Of the 150+ people in the restaurant on this Saturday night, I was one of 3 non-Asians.  Since the place was packed, I take it this restaurant does pretty well with its core constituency.  I had no complaints.

Very cool day trip

We took a cool day trip today – to the ancient and mysterious Serpent Mound and to Ripley Ohio and specifically the 19th-century John Rankin House there.
